She begins with, Razors disoblige you; Rivers are damp; Acids smudge you; & drugs cause cramp In this stanza you can interpret she lists razors, rivers, acid, and drugs as different ways someone can overcome themselves exclusively then gives reasons why they shouldnt. In the first line, she implies you could murder y! ourself using a razor but then says they pain you, as in if you did use a razor to commit suicide it would cause too much pain. In the insurgent line, she implies you could drown yourself in a river as an option but then goes on to say that they are too damp. In the following line, she states you could use acid as an agent for your own demise but follows that notion with the fact that if you did they would cause you cramp.
